STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Is juggling work and extracurricular schedules keeping you from connecting with your family?

Stephanie Allen, co-founder of Dream Dinners and co-author of New York Times best seller, “The Hour That Matters Most,” visited the KCAL9 studio to share tips on how to make your family’s dinner hour a communication power hour.

Some parents simply need a little guidance on how to connect to their tweens.

“It is encouraging to see that many families are carving out the time to eat dinner together, but it’s important to make sure to maximize this opportunity so that it is truly quality time,” said Allen.
