Sinead O'Connor, Barry Herridge Split After 16 Days Of Marriage

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Sinead O'Connor is ending her marriage to therapist Barry Herridge after only 16 days.

O'Connor broke the news to fans on her Web site, placing some of the blame on people in her husband's life who disapproved of their relationship.

She also admitted that there were problems just hours after the ceremony.

"Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband's life," she writes. "And also by a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink."
