4 Injured After Ambulance, Car Collide In North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Four people, including two firefighters, were injured Monday when an ambulance crashed into a car in North Hollywood.

The collision occurred about 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Vanowen Street and Vineland Avenue, fire department spokesman Cecil Manresa said.

"Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and two civilians in the car were also injured," Manresa said. "All four people were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries."

There was no word on the condition of the two people in the car who were hurt.

"The paramedics were responding to a call for assistance with lights and siren when the crash occurred," Manresa said.

The collision was still under investigation.
