Body Found In Ocean Near Manhattan Beach Pier

HERMOSA BEACH (AP) — Authorities say they have found the body of a man in the ocean off Hermosa Beach.

Hermosa Beach police spokesman Landon Phillips says police received a call on Thursday at 2:55 p.m. that a boater had spotted someone floating face down off the Manhattan Beach Pier. A few hours later the body of a white male in his 20s was pulled in to shore.

Authorities are not releasing any other details on the incident. The coroner's office will conduct an investigation to identify the man and his cause of death.
