Red Flag Warning Extended To Sunday Afternoon

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The National Weather Service has extended a red flag warning for Southern California mountain areas through Sunday at 3 p.m.

Mild Santa Ana winds and dry desert air combined for low humidity conditions.

Winds in some places were reportedly gusting to 30 miles per hour posing a slight fire danger. The NWS also reported humidity readings in the single digits.

The NWS also reported the winds are not expected to intensify.

The red flag warning was originally supposed to be lifted about 3 Saturday afternoon but will remain in place as a precautionary measure.
