1 Found Dead Following Duplex Fire Near Baldwin Village
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One person has been found dead following a duplex fire near Baldwin Village.
The blaze broke out in the 3600 block of South Kalsman Drive about 11:45 a.m., according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
It took 44 firefighters 17 minutes to extinguish the fire in the downstairs duplex.
According to Humphrey, one adult male was found dead inside the duplex and remained at the scene. His identity has not been released pending arrival of a coroner's investigator.
No other injuries were reported.
