NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — Los Angeles police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those involved in the shooting deaths of two men in North Hollywood.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting about 1:35 a.m. Saturday in the 8100 block of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found one victim with a gunshot wound to the head in the backyard of the home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim was taken to Kaiser Panorama City Medical Center, where he later died, police said in a news release.

Authorities believe the two victims, identified as 22-year-old Wilson Pierre of Los Angeles and 19-year-old Deon Bastian of Fontana, were shot following a confrontation at a party with an African-American male.
