Probe Continues Into Double Homicide At Chatsworth Home

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Police continue to investigate the discovery of two bodies in a Chatsworth home.

The bodies of a man and a woman were found in a home on Lassen Street near Oso Avenue about 6 a.m. Saturday. A captain at the Los Angeles police's Devonshire Station would not disclose any other information Saturday because of the "sensitivity with everything involved."

Neighbors said that police led two young men away from the scene in handcuffs early Saturday.

A man who identified himself as Brent told a reporter that police raided the home while he was sleeping and questioned him for several hours before releasing him. Its believed that four people lived in the house – a couple, a man and his teenage son.

Police declined to say whether anyone had been arrested Saturday.

The bodies may have been found in a trailer on the property. Their names, if known, were not disclosed by coroner's investigators. Both the man and woman had apparently been dead for some time, since at least mid-July, according to one estimate.

The bodies were found in a trash can, KNX 1070's Ed Mertz reported.

The property apparently changed hands recently. It had been a daycare center and adult daycare center before it went into foreclosure and was sold last month, according to reports.
