RANCHO PALOS VERDES (CBS) — Sheriff’s detectives Saturday sought clues in the shooting death of a man found at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Taylor said authorities were alerted of the discovery of a body, apparently with multiple gunshot wounds, about 9:50 p.m. Friday on or near the beach off the 5600 block of Palos Verdes Drive South near Sea Cove Drive.

According to deputies, no identification was found on the body.

The coroner’s office is expected to conduct an autopsy.
