INGLEWOOD (CBS) — Authorities say a 44-year-old man was shot to death Friday afternoon in the unincorporated area near Inglewood.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Century Boulevard near Van Ness Avenue.

Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau said the man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are asking anyone with information abut the crime to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Division at (323) 890-5500.
