Canyon Country Woman Killed In Colorado River Boat Crash

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. (AP) — A California woman has been killed and eight others were injured in a boat crash on the Colorado River near Lake Havasu City.

The San Bernadino County Sheriff's Department says 21-year-old Brittany Stark of Canyon Country, Calif., died Sunday night.

A 21-foot wake board boat was heading south on the Colorado River doing 30 to 35 mph when it struck a rock.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Phoenix and Parker.

It is unknown if alcohol was a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.
