Increased Ridership Prompts Metro To Add More Trains To Gold Line
PASADENA (CBS) — Metro will add more trains to the Gold Line after experiencing a strong increase in ridership.
The line operates between Pasadena and East Los Angeles.
The transit agency says it's trying to keep up with increased traffic by adding the trains during peak times in the morning and afternoons. Riders will see trains every six minutes between 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Currently, Gold Line trains pass through at seven to eight minute intervals during peak periods.
