VAN NUYS (CBS) — A San Fernando Valley driver who turned right in front of a motorcyclist will be charged with murder as investigators worked on Tuesday to determine exactly what caused the fatal crash.
Roberto Casillas, 56, was driving his Nissan Pickup eastbound on Vanowen at Etiwanda in Reseda when he turned in front of Steven Campos, who was headed west on his Yamaha motorcycle.READ MORE: San Bernardino County Cracking Down On Sale, Use Of Illegal Fireworks With New Reporting Tool
KNX 1070’s Pete Demetriou reports investigators believe Campos had the right of way when he was struck by the truck driven by Roberto Casillas.

Valley Traffic Division Detective Bill Bustos said investigators are still learning more about Casillas.
“We believe that he was impaired, he was arrested, and we’re looking into his background right now,” said Bustos.

Police are asking any witnesses to the incident to come forward with details.
