LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Lindsay Lohan surrendered to authorities early Thursday morning to being serving time under home detention rather than going to jail.

Lohan, 24, was booked and fitted for with an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet around 5 a.m., according to a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department news release.
