LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — The lawyer for the daughter of the man suspected of brutally beating a San Francisco Giants fan at Dodger Stadium in March says Giovanni Ramirez never went to the game that day.
Chip Matthews, who is representing Ramirez’s 10-year-old daughter, told CBS2/KCAL9’s Suzie Suh that he visited Ramirez in jail on Tuesday and was told Ramirez is willing to take a polygraph test to show he was not at the stadium when Bryan Stow was viciously attacked.
According to Matthews, the little girl says Ramirez spent that day with her and other family members. The child, along with other family members, are willing to testify.
Stow, 42, remains in critical but stable condition under heavy sedation to prevent seizures caused by the traumatic brain injury he suffered in the March 31 attack.
Police arrested Ramirez over the weekend, but charges have not yet been filed against him.
