Valerie Orsoni Of 'Le Boot Camp' Visits KCAL9
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Valerie Orsoni of LeBootCamp.com visited KCAL9 Wednesday to talk about the French diet craze.
Orsoni says the increasingly popular Dukan diet sets a false and negative impression of how we should diet.
"French people do not thrive on a high protein diet which goes against the grain," she says. "They try it for two to three weeks and drop out of it as quickly as they got started. They revert to their high-carb diets, which, with portions under control has always worked well for the French population. French baguettes and croissants are in the DNA."
Orsoni says the Dukan diet has been called dangerous by both the French Ministry of Health and the British Dietetic Association.
Her boot camp is the top online heath program in France.
