Body Of Naked Teenage Girl Found Off I-5 Freeway Identified

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 17-year-old girl whose body was found Monday night in bushes next to the State Street off-ramp of the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Boyle Heights was identified Wednesday.

Michelle Lozano, of Los Angeles, was found by a transient woman at 11:40 p.m. Monday, Los Angeles police Sgt. Titus Tyler of the Hollenbeck Station said.

Homicide detectives found Lozano in a broken, open plastic container, Tyler said.

An examination of Lozano's body was pending Wednesday for the cause of death, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said.
