Singer Pebbles And Essence Magazine Search For The Next R&B Star

STUDIO CITY (CBS/KCAL) — R&B star Pebbles visited the KCAL9 studios Friday to talk about a new nationwide talent search.

Pebbles has partnered with Essence Magazine to find the next R&B star. The "Essence & Pebbles present: R&B star" talent competition will be holding auditions this weekend in Glendale.

The winner will perform live at the 2011 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. They will also win an artist management contract with Island Def Jam's Kevin Liles.
