    M. Martin- You sound very uneducated. It is in fact gravity AND the density of the ground that are to blame. BOTH are factors.

It was a joke, sorry it went over ur head. If someone states the obvious, you should take it as sarcasm.

Are we sure it wasn’t cancer?

At least they found her. A Russian tourist that went missing during a sky diving venture out there was found 4 month later in the same field

Anyone who trivializes another’s unfortunate accidental death should suffer the same fate.

  5. Rob says:

Its not gravity but the sudden deceleration at the other end that gets you!

Just plain bad reporting. The conclusion is that the trip went awry, when something apparently happened to cause this tragic accident. Either the chute was incorrectly packed, it didn’t open all the way, it was the parachutist’s fault when landing, or the parachutist’s had a stroke, heart attack, fainted, broke her neck, but it is always unfortunate when these things happen. Skydiving is a dangerous sport, we all know that.

Nicole was also a Qantas 737 Captain. The last time I spoke to her was about parachuting as a flight attendant we knew well had killed herself parachuting and it was a very good way to hurt yourself. Nicole told me Shelly (f.a) had made a ‘poor decision’ to open her reserve chute way too low and that was why she died. Seems the same thing happened to Nicole….. Very sad.
