Victim, 18, In Fatal Altadena Shooting Identified
ALTADENA (CBS) — The victim of a fatal shooting in Altadena was identified Monday as 18-year-old Brandon Jackson.
Jackson, an Altadena resident, was shot on the 300 block of Palm Street about 10:40 p.m. Friday and declared dead at a hospital, said sheriff's Deputy Robert Boese.
Jackson was a football player at Muir High School in Pasadena.
His family insists he was a good kid, not a gang member and likely the victim of mistaken identity. His aunt, Cynthia Brown, told reporters that her nephew was the kind of kid "who would run from trouble."
She added, "He was so full of life."
And she had a message for his killer, "Your soul is not going to rest."
