MORENO VALLEY (CBS) — A teenager who allegedly stole a vehicle was arrested after leading officers on a pursuit, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested Sunday night after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a cement wall, authorities said.

The teen allegedly stole a 1995 Honda Civic from a parking lot near Sunnymead Boulevard and Indian Street in Moreno Valley, Sheriff’s Sgt. Tim Martin said.

Officers spotted the vehicle about 30 minutes later and chased him westbound on Highway 60, until the suspect crashed while driving on the Martin Luther King Boulevard off-ramp, Martin said.
