BELL (CBS2) — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a 16-year-old girl from Bell who has been missing for a week.

Police say Yvonna Martinez was last seen on Jan. 16, after receiving permission to spend the night at a friend's home in Inglewood. She never came home that night, according to authorities.

According to police, Martinez's mother has received several text messages saying her daughter's life is in danger.

Martinez is five-foot, six-inches tall with a pierced tongue and brown hair. She weighs about 130 pounds.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Bell Police Department at (323) 585-1245.
