Allee was taken into custody about 7 a.m. Tuesday after a SWAT team surrounded the building, police said.

Officers used a Taser to shock him into submission. He was treated for unspecified injuries before he was booked on suspicion of murder and locked up in lieu of $1 million bond, police said.

LAPD Lt. Robert Binder said Allee and Vigil appeared to have shared the apartment where the shooting occurred. Vigil was found lying in a third-floor hallway.

A handgun Allee allegedly used to kill Vigil was found at the scene, police said.

During the standoff, Hollywood Boulevard was closed between Whitley Avenue and Cahuenga Boulevard.

Anyone with more information about the crime was asked to call the Hollywood Station at (213) 972- 2910.
