Josh Rubenstein's Forecast (Dec. 31, 2010)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — The winds have relaxed a bit, but it is quite cold across the Southland.

Frost advisories and freeze warnings were in effect this morning and will be in effect again for the high desert tomorrow morning.

Lows this morning in the San Fernando Valley bottomed out in the low 30s.

There will be clear skies for the first part of the day, but as we make our way to the evening, we'll see more cloud cover ahead of our next system slated to hit us late Saturday and into Sunday.

The forecast models do indicate a period of some heavy rains and particularly low snow levels, once again down to 2000 feet. The low moves out late Monday and another cut-off low moves in behind it, giving us yet another chance for light showers for the middle of next week.

The good news... the Rose Bowl and Rose Parade should be dry.
