LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Christina McLarty dines on a dime. This week, she even manages to do so in an elegant, classy, ritzy, upscale (okay, we’ll stop now) eatery in Beverly Hills!

No, really. Beverly Hills.

The restaurant is the acclaimed Villa Blanca, and if you’ve heard of it, it might be because of the food (it’s tops), the decor (it’s all white, hence the name) or its fab owners, namely the renowned restaurateurs Ken Todd and Lisa Vanderpump, the latter becoming something of a TV celebrity as well for being one of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” on Bravo.

The restaurant was designed to please the eyes and ears (painting and flowers abound) as well as the palate.  The menu offers a fresh, modern take on classic European cooking. They also offer food with an Asian and Mediterranean flair. Fans love the baked king crab rolls, rock shrimp with asparagus risotto, seafood paella and cherry miso duck breast. Yum!

Plus, you’re bound to run into a celebrity or three (it’s one of Kim Kardashian’s fave places) while dining.

II do apologize in advance however, I am sorry but what is “Dine on a Dime? ” With $32.00 filet mignons? There’s nothing affordable or good value about a $32 piece of meat or am I missing something here? Its flat out an expensive restaurant!

I guess “Dine on 1000 Dimes” just doesn’t have the same appeal.

JM, I’m with you on these articles. So far, not a single one of them in the past (thru todays) has been a high quality food establishement for a decent, everyday person price. I guess this reviewers dime is different then mine these days. Oh, that’s right, the reviewer has an expense account to bill.

I suppose that if you can get comp’d for dinner on $32.00 steaks then perhaps it is dining on a dime? I know that any waiter getting a dime would be insulted as we three appear to be here..At least if you got groupon voucher there might be something to really say like a genuine 30-40 or 50% discount
