Fight Hunger By Donating Bikes To Meals-On-Wheels
LONG BEACH (CBS) — Meals on Wheels of Long Beach is asking for used bicycles to help keep the food flowing out to those who need daily meals.
Each bike that is donated will bring in $20 for the volunteer meal program.
The donated bicycles, which will be accepted through Saturday, are taken to the city's HUB Community Bike Center, where they will be repaired or reused for spare parts.
The repaired bikes will be sold to the community at bargain prices.
