LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The California Association of Museums wants to put Snoopy on California license plates.

Hang on Snoopy, fans! But why?

They’re trying to raise money for the state’s museums! Good call.

As budgets go, the museums are getting peanuts! (Get it!?)

Okay, so we digress.

Before the CAM can get the state to even consider the plate, they have to come  up with 7500 people … who are also willing to shell out $50.

Its a California license plate for the legal Beagle to use on his car NOT a frame that you can get at your local flea meet. Puns intended.

If California wants to raise funds from vanity plates, they should have something that has to do with films like Nevada plates that has the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign or anything California related. Basically, have more choices than what we currently have. Then, maybe, more people will be willing to get vanity plates.
