Counterfeit Coach Scarves From China Seized From Port Shipment
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Customs officials say they've seized a shipment of 24,000 counterfeit trademark "Coach" scarves from China, valued at nearly $85,000.
The shipment, which had a manufacturer's suggested retail price totaling $2.4 million, was seized at the Los Angeles/Long Beach port complex a few days ago, according to Jaime Ruiz of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
"CPB continues to devote substantial resources to target, intercept and seize shipments of commodities that violate trade laws," said Carlos Martel, CPB's acting director of field operations in Los Angeles.
