'A Million Thanks' Sends Cards, Letters To Soldiers
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Million Thanks, a year-round campaign that sends letters, e-mails and cards to soldiers — especially those who have been wounded in combat — was started by a 21-year-old Orange County woman.
Shauna Fleming wanted to send a million letters when she started the organization back in 2004. In 2010, A Million Thanks sent its 5 millionth letter. All postage and letters are paid for and written by a team of volunteers.
Fleming is now starting a new organization to help troops. For more information, visit A Million Thanks.
