GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A man was charged Tuesday with murdering his neighbor in Garden Grove by shooting him in the face, officials said.

Robert Joseph Price, 52, was charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal discharge of a firearm causing death, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

Price, who was arrested around 1:20 a.m. Friday, is accused of shooting 53-year-old Glen Ray Berry in the 12600 block of Poplar Street.

The two had reportedly been in a long running dispute.

Price was allegedly lighting fireworks in his backyard, which shares a fence with Berry's home. The victim knocked on Price's screen door when the suspect open his front door and shot Berry in the face through the closed screen, police said.

Price is being held on $1 million bail and is expected to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in state prison.
