LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Time Warner Cable will bring a group of kids from nonprofit organizations to visit the space shuttle Endeavour Wednesday afternoon at the California Science Center.
One hundred children from Compton’s Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum and South Los Angeles’ A Place Called Home will get a tour of Endeavour’s new home, participate in science experiments and watch the IMAX experience “Hubble 3D” directed by actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
The event, which will start at 3:45 p.m., is a part of the company’s $3.8 million contribution, which included helping deliver the shuttle to the Science Center in October.
Endeavour’s new exhibit opened to the public on Oct. 30.
