LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A person of interest was in custody Tuesday in relation to a man set on fire in Long Beach last week, according to a law enforcement agency.
Police, however, only said that a person was arrested on a probation violation, but not as a suspect in the attack.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. Friday at El Paisano Ranch Market on Pacific Coast Highway.
The 54-year-old victim was reportedly waiting for his elderly father, who was shopping inside the store, when a 20-something man threw a Molotov cocktail at him.
The victim has been recovering at a local burn center and is listed in critical, but stable, condition.
