BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities closed at least one street Monday morning as President Barack Obama left the Southland.
The president went from the Beverly Hilton Hotel to the Los Angeles International Airport for an 8:50 a.m. departure.
Avenue of the Stars was shut down between Santa Monica and Pico Boulevards from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The president arrived at 1:15 p.m. Sunday and attended three campaign fundraisers, including an expensive meal at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant.
The president wrapped up his evening at the Nokia Theatre Downtown for the “30 Days to Victory” concert and rally.
The event, where 6,000 supporters paid $44 or more for a seat, featured performances by Jon Bon Jovi, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry and Earth Wind & Fire.
“I come here because I believe in what President Obama is talking about, what he feels,” Stevie Wonder said.
This weekend’s visit marked the president’s 12th trip to Los Angeles since taking office.
