Autopsy Pending On Body Found At Trash-Sorting Facility

WILMINGTON (CBS) — An autopsy is pending Sunday on the body of a young woman found among trash at sorting facility in Wilmington.

Police say the body of a woman, who is believed to be in her 20s, was found Saturday evening among the recyclable items.

Police believe the body was dumped sometime during the day. The Coroner's office is expected to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

It was not immediately clear where the body was picked up from. The facility on East E. Street receives trash from across Southern California.
