LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Charlie Sheen fans can now expect to hear more from the actor in the form of tweets.
Sheen apparently joined Twitter Tuesday afternoon, using the handle @charliesheen.
The actor has not publicly confirmed the Twitter account, but the account is marked as “verified.”
Since the account was established Tuesday, it has been followed by more than 200,000 users within just a few hours, and nearly 400,000 followers by night.
His first tweet at about 3:30 p.m. read: “Winning..! Choose your Vice… #winning #chooseyourvice http://twitpic.com/455ly9,” linking to a photo of him and porn star Bree Olson, posing with a bottle of what appears to be chocolate milk and Naked brand juice, respectively.
Later, the actor apparently posted another tweet, this time claiming to have been invited to appear on CNN legal commentator Nancy Grace’s show. He used the invitation to take yet another sarcastic jab at “Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre, writing: “Just got invited to do the Nancy Grace show… I’d rather go on a long road trip with Chuck Lorre in a ’75 Pacer….”
Earlier in the day, CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves broke his silence regarding the actor’s outbursts, saying he wasn’t sure whether “Two and a Half Men” would return, but that he hoped it would.
It’s anyone guess as to what Sheen plans to post next, but the wild ride he’s taken doesn’t appear anywhere near close to an end. Click here for complete coverage of the Charlie Sheen saga here on CBSLosAngeles.com.
