Another holiday is creeping up that many people get excited about. It is a day that celebrates love, romance and passion. It is also a day of hearts, chocolates, plenty of wine and plenty of food. Yes…we are talking about Valentine’s Day. From local Angelenos to tourists, Hollywood is a great place to celebrate a special night with that special someone. Here are a few date ideas to wow and impress your significant other.

Right in the heart of the glitz and glamour is Loews Hollywood Hotel. New to the area (after taking over the Renaissance Hotel), this hotel will soon be going through major renovations. Just down the elevator and right across a small crosswalk is the Hollywood and Highland Center. Guests have direct access to more than 80 shops, 26 restaurants, 12 bowling lanes and seven movie screens. Iconic venues such as the Dolby Theater and the TCL Chinese Theater (formerly known as Grauman’s) are in this plaza as well. Shopping and dining not your ideal date? Feeling up for a picnic, some wine and live music under the stars? Many amazing musicians, groups and orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra have performed on their stage. February may be a bit chilly for sitting outside, so another artistic option is to go down the street to another iconic theater — the Pantages Theater.
