When it comes to Los Angeles, we can without a doubt say that this city loves its wine. Whether red, white, sparkling, or rose, Angelenos have a thing for wine that won’t be going away anytime soon. From Santa Monica to Downtown and each city in between, we’ve gathered a list of the best wine bars Los Angeles has to offer.

The sprawling outdoor patio where patrons sip down wine and dine on delicious Mediterranean bites is just one of the many draws here though. In addition to offering its wide selection of Californian wines, they also offer bottles and wine by the glass on many international wines. If you find yourself enjoying the wine here so much, you can even join their wine club. For a $25 membership, you’ll get special discounts as well as a priority notification and discounted tickets when their wine tasting dinners and events happen. But, if you bring a date that doesn’t love wine as much as you, fear not. The bar offers an extensive listing of cocktails and spirits. Make sure to stop by for happy hour Monday thru Friday from 3:30-6:30pm as well as on the weekends for brunch where you’ll enjoy bottomless champagne. The view of the Pacific Ocean from its patio is unrivaled at any wine bar in the city day or night.

With its move to its more charming location, AOC Wine Bar stepped up its charming wine bar vibe. Serving small plates of Mediterranean California inspired dishes alongside an impressive wine list, its a great place for a date, or with a group of friends to sip on some great reds or whites. In fact, the restaurant/wine bar boasts over 50 wines by the glass, as well as cheeses from around the world. Their wine list includes everything from Napa Valley wines to Rose’s from the Sonoma Coast, Reds from Paso Robles and the Santa Maria Valley and elsewhere in the world. Add in their outdoor patio with its Mediterranean charm, and you will be hard pressed not to want to come back for a second, third and fourth time.

Olives and almonds, tater tots with Sriracha, vegetable salads, as well as cheeses from around the world are at your disposal. They even offer desserts like a croissant bread pudding. Rustic farmer’s market dishes are what you can expect here, and it’s no wonder why this restaurant/wine bar continues to thrive. Wines by the glass include everything from Pinot Noir’s from Santa Barbara County, and Bourgogne, France, but also Riesling’s from Germany and Sauvignon Blanc’s from Italy. You won’t leave disappointed.

Although Silverlake Wine is more of a store than a wine bar, you might consider it a hybrid of the two. After all, you can stop by here, hang out by the bar and sip wine with friends for as long as you want. Or, stop by and grab a quick wine tasting before heading out to your favorite East side restaurant. The wine store/bar also features a variety of tastings, and is available for work parties, bridal showers, birthdays or just because. Thursdays mean ‘Thursday Night Flights’ where you’ll get a wine flight lined up of three reds and three whites with a theme in mind. You’ll be walked through the various wines and it’s only $15 per person. Or, stop by on Monday’s for ‘Blue Monday’ where they pour three brand new and unique wines to try for just $15 per person. On just one Sunday a month, Silverlake Wine brings their friends from the restaurant world to prepare four courses to pair with wines for patrons. Starting at 3pm, its just $25 per person and is a definite must.
