Bru’s Wiffle – A Waffle Joint
2408 Wilshire Blvd Santa Monica, CA 90403
The next time you are in Santa Monica enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch at Bru’s Wiffle (A Waffle Joint). Look out for their Belgian waffle with coconut ice cream, topped with house-made pineapple sauce or you can order classic cheeseburger sliders. Nick’s Waffle Taco (“The Waco”) with grilled or crispy chicken, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheddar, mozzarella, jalapeños, sour cream and salsa is a delicious combination. Bru’s adds real Tahitian vanilla, which truly makes them Belgian style and you can taste the difference. Kick back and relax while enjoying a beer or wine from their drink menu.
Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles
You can’t have a waffle list without Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. Guests can order the waffles with or without the chicken. The waffles are soft and may not hold up to the weight of the chicken but on their own they are delightful. The spot is noisy which adds to the allure and there is always a wait but everyone has to experience this L.A. icon at least once.

1850 North Vermont Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90027
This hipster diner located in cool Silver Lake has an impressive menu. For the late riser, breakfast is served throughout the day. Unlike other waffle locations mentioned, Fred offers a simple golden waffle served with maple syrup, nothing intricate or fancy, just airy and delicious. However, you might want to check out their dessert menu where the Bossa Nova Waffle Sundae lives. A warm Belgian waffle is topped with dulce de leche vanilla bean and whipped cream. The waffle indentations are filled with drizzled sweetness. Fred 62 is open 24 hours and like the many of these popular establishments, expect a wait.
600 Disneyland Dr.
Anaheim, CA 92802
Everyone deserves to be smiled at by a big fat Mickey Mouse-shaped waffle. The famous mouse can be found at the Storyteller’s Cafe at the Grand Californian Hotel . While the waffles are not part of the brunch, wait staff will gladly serve the mini-sized waffles. Otherwise, order from the adult menu for a hungry man portion. Dust powdered sugar on them or add fruit. These waffles can also be found at the PCH Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel.
