"Love, eat, drink, smile" is Foodlab's mantra, and if you happen to have one of their veggie sandwiches it comes quite easily. These are lovely two-handed sandwiches packed with all sorts of good organic stuff. The Vegan - with a thick layer of hummus, roasted vegetables and basil pesto on five grain - is heavenly. The Roasted Veggie with goat cheese is quite yummy. And the customer favorite goes to the Caprese with pesto, buffalo mozz and Greek olive oil. Of course, there's more to the menu than that, but they're a great way to start.

The cute and clean little cafe that is Reggie's Deli & Cafe produces some big and flavorful sandwiches. The vegetarian sandwiches may be few, but they're pretty good. The Caprese with thick mozzarella cheese and plump heirloom tomatoes on a crisp panini drizzled with olive oil is hands down delicious. The veggie wrap is packed with fresh vegetables like shredded carrots, sprouts, avocado, cucumber and lettuce with Swiss cheese, honey mustard and tahini. Cutting back on the carbs? Get it as a lettuce wrap.

All About the Bread may be all about the bread, but they care about what goes in between the slices of it. Fresh and high-quality ingredients play a big role in these sandwiches. The Burrata (sundried tomatoes, basil, pesto, tomatoes and roasted peppers) is an explosion of flavor. The Vegetarian is a sort of DIY sandwich where you can pile on all your favorite veggies. And, of course, the Caprese (heirloom tomatoes, basil, sundried tomato dressing and fresh mozzarella) makes the delish list. Add a side of rustic tomato and cucumber with feta cheese or the Mediterranean artichokes and cheese salad and you've got one of the best veggie meals in town.

Adding another reason why people love Eagle Rock is Four Cafe. Delightful decor and friendly service is always appealing, but vegans and vegetarians will enjoy this place the most for all the "v" options. The menu is a lovely variety of luscious salads, small bites, soups and, of course, sandwiches. The homemade veggie burger (made from beans and lentils) is loaded with remoulade, mustard, pickles, lettuce onion and cheddar on a brioche bun. The tempeh Reuben is vegan all the way with vegan dressing, sauerkraut and caramelized onions on rye. Both are great but one of the must-tries is the portobello panini with swiss chard, topped with caramelized onions, winter squash, romesco burrata cheese and pesto on olive bread.
