There is a very strange divide that few people discuss in Southern California. For the folks living east of the 605 freeway, LA is just too far. Traffic sucks and when there is so much to do and see on the east side of the Southland, people just stick close to home. While we encourage you to get out and maybe take the extra drive, there still is plenty to enjoy in the OC. If you are looking for the best way to spend your Friday, Saturday, and or Sunday, we narrowed down a short list for you. Let's plan your weekend.

Both are hugely successful in their particular forums. Anderson Cooper is a New York Times Bestseller and Emmy Award-winning journalist for CNN. Andy Cohen is an Emmy Award-winning host on the Bravo Network and the man responsible for the "Real Housewives" series. Combined, the two anchor an unscripted evening of articulate exchange about everything from politics to popular culture on the Segerstrom stage. Relying more on their observational strengths than their celebrity notoriety, the television mainstays will step into the solo spotlight with nothing more than a microphone and their two cents in a show that promises to soothe the intellectual itch for ticketholders.

Who else could help helm the anniversary festivities for Santa Ana's Observatory, than Fullerton-based Burger Records. Home to the raucous, very eclectic BurgerRama festivals that pair the likes of Ariel's Pink Haunted Graffiti with Bone Thugs and Harmony, the venue has partnered with Sean Bohrman and Lee Rickard to officially recognize their five-year collaborative reign as one of Orange County's best live venues and most respected record labels. From Slowdive to Cherry Glazerr, from The Orwells to Too $hort, the collection of artists are unlikely, but make complete sense when Burger is involved. Driven by a devoted base of fans that snap up everything the brand is about, the live festivals result in capacity crowds and pure pandemonium during every set. Expect insanity.

Originally built in 1928, Walter and Adella Muckenthaler would leave their 18-room estate to son Harold Muckenthaler. In 1965, Harold would donate the sprawling 8.5 acres of land to the city of Fullerton with the expectation that the estate would become a cultural center. Nationally recognized in 1999, the Muck now boasts some dozens of performances, gallery exhibits, and some more than 6,000 hours devoted to art education for some 43,000 participants every year. With a carefully considered collection of art ranging from contemporary to classic, what is inside the walls matches the gorgeous footprint of one of Orange County's most cherished cultural beacons.

The folks at Knott's Berry Farm are hosting their annual 5k, 10k, and kids half-mile Coaster Run with proceeds benefitting Buena Park's local Speech and Language Development Center. Kids can run through the course that navigates the twists and turns of Camp Snoopy, while the adults and athletic types can weave through some 10 kilometers throughout the park. Participants will receive half-priced admission to enjoy the park for the remainder of the day. However, first thing's first. Each runner will be able to sit and enjoy a fresh slice of Knott's Berry Farm's legendary Boysenberrry pie knowing their calorie-burning effort helped raise funds for deserving children.

Most bowling alleys have a sort of sweaty charm that almost define the experience. Warn furniture, flat beer, busted equipment, it just seems to go hand-in-hand with the standard afternoon at the lanes. However, Concourse in Anaheim pulls a sharp 180 with an environment that flexes some modernity without coming off as pretentious. Concessions that include craft beer and deli wraps, amenities like billiard tables and lanes that look and feel sleek, the feeling at Concourse isn't like the rented shoes on your feet. With league opportunities and party packages, this is certainly an alley designed with the extended hang in mind.
