Celebrity Chef, Jimmy Martinez is opening up his first brick-and-morter this month on Anaheim's hip Center St Promenade. Once executive chef at the private 41 Ocean Club and former chef of BOA Steakhouse Santa Monica, Martinez's concept is now focusing heavily on his Puerto Rican and Mexican roots. He is bringing hand-crafted tacos to Anaheim by making three types of tortillas in-house, one for land, sea and garden (think squid ink tortilla for sea and spinach for garden.) This classically trained chef plans to make quality food without the hefty price tag.

The only vegan restaurant in all of Anaheim, Healthy Junk prepares all your favorite comfort food (burgers, pizza, wings, fish n' chips) sans meat and gluten-free when possible. One of the city's best kept secrets is Olive Tree in Anaheim's Little Arabia district is known as a locals haven for authentic middle eastern cuisine. Hard-to-find dishes including Palestinian musakhand and Jordanian mansaf are on the menu as well as traditional middle eastern dishes like mouth-watering lamb shanks and chicken shawerma. The kebabs offered with the combination plates are beyond delicious made up of ground beef, lamb, chicken and vegetables, and the Mahashey (stuffed squash with eggplant inside grape leaves) is worth the visit alone.
