Classical Music Encounters of Orange County is an organization that dedicates itself to supporting the classical music movement by bringing some of the world’s most talented musicians and letting them perform to local audiences at various venues throughout the year. Founded and managed by music lovers in 2001, Classical Music Encounters of Orange County promotes these small-scale concerts in Orange County monthly or semimonthly. All proceeds go to the performers as well, and fundraisers are also held one or twice per year to help bring attention to the importance of classical music.

The Irvine Barclay Theatre is rich with performances throughout the year. Opening its doors in 1990, the theatre has become one not only Orange County’s, but California’s most renowned performing arts venues. As a collaborative venture with the City of Irvine and the University of California at Irvine, the theatre has a reputation for putting on a wide range of performances, including theatre arts. All performances take place inside the 750 “jewel box” theatre as well.

One might think the Honda Center is all about hockey games, and concerts, but it’s also home to many classical performances from talented and accomplished musicians. Past performances have seen the classical music star Andrea Bocelli play the huge arena. The legendary musician, who is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records, toured the country and played the Honda Center.
