As a favorite among cookie lovers, this hidden gem is located in a small strip mall in Huntington Beach, and serves up giant macaroons along with its ice cream. Snow Monster changes up the concept of what the typical ice cream sandwich is elsewhere around the world. Along with elegant and beautiful macaroons, which come in a variety of flavors including s’mores, strawberry, pistachio and churros, you can add a wide variety of ice cream flavors including horchata, taro, mint, green tea, and black sesame as well as several other alternative flavors to complete your sandwich. Macaroons here are thin and slightly moist, which make them a perfect for stuffing as well. Make sure to ask for a spoon with your order as your kids will love watching the colors change as it gets cold. One fun thing they do at Snow Monster is they give you a spoon that changes color when it gets cold.

First you “Cream”, then you “Fill”, then you “Seal” and then, you “Eat”. Offering a new entry into the ice cream sandwich world, The Creamistry offers a unique made-to-order sandwich where liquid nitrogen is the key to creating the creamy consistency. Starting off by preparing a generous scoop of your favorite ice cream, the sandwich maker then blasts it with liquid nitrogen for a creamy smooth finish. Placing two freshly baked chocolate chip cookies between the delicious ice cream creates the perfect combination of creamy ice cream and a warm crispy cookie. What should you order? With over 40 flavors and 50 mix-ins/toppings, it is hard to decide, but according to owner Jay Yim the top three selling flavors are: cookie butter with marshmallow cream, black sesame with mocha and nutella and almonds. Whether you’re a kid or an adult, you’ll love watching the process and equally enjoy the delicious treat.
