Le Petite Four
Do you like the delicious purring sounds of a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Maserati? That’s what I thought! I mean…who doesn’t?! Patio dining is the topic but at Le Petite Four exotic car sightings are the bonus.
Le Petite Four is a Los Angeles favorite for those who take pleasure in sitting outside at long continuous tables where you will dine right next to a perfect stranger. If you are looking for a private, discreet experience this is not the place for you. Le Petite Four creates a social environment where you can feast on delicious French favorites, watch the action of Sunset Boulevard and listen to the roar of many an exquisite engine as they race up and down the street and often park right in front, giving you an opportunity to snap a photo if so desired. Located at Sunset Plaza, Le Petite Four is a place to see and be seen. Home to many regulars, celebrities and tourists – morning, noon and night – this Sunset Strip
favorite will always serve up a tres bon dinner with lots of eye candy for dessert.
Robertson Boulevard is famous for its boutique designer stores, trendy hotspots and many a popular restaurant to choose from. Nestled in the center of it all, The Ivy is quaint, cozy and intimate. The décor is “shabby chic” which gives you the feeling of being in a cottage somewhere in England. You can smell the crisp linen, fresh
flowers and eggs straight off the farm. Although there are tables available on the inside, wait a bit for a spot on the patio. With the sounds of Robertson Boulevard, the stylish stores surrounding you, the delicious food and the A-List clientele The Ivy patio is definitely worth the wait.
A second location, equally enjoyable, takes you right down to the beach on Ocean Blvd. in Santa Monica. Another fabulous patio experience that will leave you satisfied and wanting more.
Trendy? Indeed. Good food? Amazing. Organic? Absolutely. Busy? Always.
Urth Caffe is an LA Phenomenon. It’s crowded. You have to wait in line to order your food and then try to find a table on the patio which is never easy because it’s always packed. The seats are not comfy – no pillows to comfort your tush.
Yet none of that seems to matter. The food quality overcomes the “work” factor that goes with filling your tummy and hunting down a table. Some Urth Caffe go-ers will tout that Urth Caffe makes the best coffee in town. Definitely a young and hip crowd but don’t be discouraged if you do not fit into that group – business folk, mommies, and trendsetters alike all gather for a piece of the Urth. Healthy living is the name of the game at Urth Caffe and here in Hollywood everyone knows how to play games. Namaste.
The Little Door
It is not a shock to hear that The Little Door was voted Best Romantic Restaurant of LA. This restaurant exudes romance. As you drive down 3rd street, there it is, nestled among the hustle and bustle of one of LA’s
best boutique designer shopping districts.
The patio is divine. You can feel the beauty of the Mediterranean as you take in the rich colors, the patio garden, the candles, and the warmth of this faintly lit hidden gem.
You must start with a glass or bottle of one of their world famous wines which will ease your mind, relax your body and please your soul. The gorgeous fountain, koi pond and candelabras take your experience to another level: intimate and amorous. It’s the perfect place to impress.
The Little Door menu is diverse, and satisfying to any taste. Simple. Fresh.Organic. The Little Door offers a late night menu, served after 10pm and French Moroccan Sunday Specials.
La Piazza Restaurant Italiano
Find amore at the Grove when the dancing fountain plays the classics of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and so many more. This outdoor shopping destination in the Fairfax District is chock full of dining choices.
La Piazza Restaurant Italiano is the very best spot to take in all that the Grove has to offer while you sip wine, dip bread in olive oil and spin your fork around your favorite choice of pasta. The restaurant has perfect patio seating and it is situated right smack in the center of it all. Not only does it offer patio seating on the ground level but it also has balcony seating where you can take in all the action from above. Enchanting. Splendid in every way This is truly one of LA’s greatest dining experiences. Make sure you arrive a couple hours before you decide to eat so that you may shop, take in a movie or visit the historic Farmer’s Market.
