These library programs offer children of all ages opportunities to advance their education and skills in an enjoyable atmosphere. Your child can meet friends, explore interests and be exposed to new subject matter. SCRATCH Computer Coding Classes enable children 10 years of age and older to get a jump-start on becoming the next Bill Gates. There are eight sessions offered in which kiddos can be instructed on how to make a Finch Robot. Be sure to sign up for classes as soon as possible because only 20 students are allowed in each class. Children 2-5 years of age can take part in the special Songs And Stories program offered at Newport Beach Public Library. In addition to singing upbeat songs and reading lighthearted stories, kids can play in an active environment by participating in yoga and "guided movement." There's even opportunities for children to play musical instruments.
