Access to the beach makes Southern California a dream on hot days, but those sun-soaked trips can be an exhausting lot of work. For a lower-maintenance, year-round playtime option, nothing beats the O.C.'s indoor playgrounds. Highlights include the Giggle Theater for actors, Craft Center for artists, Train Depot for role playing, Little Builders Zone for budding architects and Library for book lovers. Fun City, a great indoor playground, is a destination spot for open playtime, school field trips and parties for birthdays and sports teams. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, open play is designed for toddlers, and all ages are welcome for open play on Friday. This exciting indoor playground features an 18-foot slide, obstacle courses and a jumper and slide combo that's great for wobbly toddlers.
