Relative Beverly Hills newcomer Bedford & Burns is local favorite any time of day, but particularly shines during happy hour. Food options run the gamut from barbacoa street tacos and chicken liver pate with nothing topping the $7 mark. Discounted drinks will keep everyone happy especially the extensive selection of wines by the glass.

The happy hour at Bouchon’s casual downstairs offshoot give diners and imbibers a rare opportunity to sample chef Thomas Keller’s food on the cheap. Sample upscale bar food such as truffle popcorn and the Petit Bouchon Hot Dog (beef sausage served on pretzel bread with cornichon relish and Dijon mayo). Happy hour veer towards the classics and include a Negorni, Moscow Mule, and Old Fashioned.

It’s happy hour more often than it’s not at Japanese bbq chain Gyu-Kaku. This, of course, is a great thing, especially considering that Gyu-Kaku’s happy hour menu is one of the extensive in town. An extensive selection of appetizers, ramen, and grill your own meats, seafood, and vegetables, not to mention sake, beer and wine, are on discount. If the menu is simply too intimidating, you can just opt for the pre-set happy hour value courses that include starters, bbq items, and dessert.

A steakhouse dinner can unravel your purse strings, but Fleming’s has its happy hour menu from 5-7pm that will save you a few bucks any day of the week. There are five cocktails, five wines by the glass and five hors d’oeuvres, served at the bar until 7pm. Pair a Sailor Jerry Rum Retropolitan, Moscow Mule or a glass of Spanish cava with crispy pork belly, salt and pepper shrimp or beef tenderloin carpaccio.

You might want to set aside some extra minutes when settling down at the Scarpetta bar for happy hour because you’re bound to have a tough time deciding what to order. Since the entire Italian-themed signature cocktail menu is available for $9 (nearly half price) skip the aggravation and order at least two drinks (and then an Uber). While there are no longer any happy hour food options, the bar menu (available throughout the evening) offers some of the main dining room’s greatest hits and tops out at $24.
