If you’re like a lot of people, you have a usual when you go to your favorite watering hole. You like to see that your favorite beer is always available. However, some folks like to see a beer menu that changes frequently so they can always try something new. If you fall into the latter category, here are five places that have not only impressive, but also rotating beer menus.
136 E. Commonwealth Ave.
Fullerton, CA 92832
Hopscotch specializes in three things that are proof God loves us and wants us to be happy: whiskey, beer and unique cuisine (try the fried pig ears). And this place does not take any of those things lightly. With 24 craft beers on tap at any time, you should be able to find something (and quite possibly something you haven’t tried previously) you’ll like. If for some reason you can’t find anything on tap that you want to drink, fear not. This place also has an impressive list of bottled beers, including a cooler filled with beers you probably won’t find at any other restaurant.
Tustin Brewing Company
13011 Newport Ave., Suite 100
Tustin, CA 92780
As with any brewery worth its salt, Tustin Brewing Company features its own house beers that fit in with the seasons in addition to its staples that range from a blonde to a porter. You can find a Pilsner in the spring and summer, and the popular Oktoberfest in the fall. In addition to bringing in its own regular and seasonal beers, this place also has a nice selection of guest beers that is refreshed regularly with lots of great beers that could become your new favorite.
Chapter One: The Modern Local
227 N. Broadway
Santa Ana, CA 92701
Chapter One may not have as expansive of a beer list as some other places, but one thing you can count on is that this place will have good beers both on draft and in bottles. The craft beers you find here are chosen not only for their exceptional taste, but also for how they pair with the food. If you enjoy dessert, do yourself a favor and pair one of the delicious beers with one of the signature donuts. You might just be amazed at how Homer Simpson has had it right all of these years (Mmmmm…donuts and beer!).

The Iron Press
3321 Hyland Ave., Suite E
Costa Mesa, CA 92626
A waffle sandwich place is probably not the first spot you think about when you consider beer. However, the motto here is “We like beer and waffles.” One look behind the counter will tell you that is absolutely the case. The Iron Press features 30 taps that frequently change and the walls are lined with tap handles of beers that have been featured. On any given visit, you might find a brown, a stout and an IPA to go along with one of the delicious waffle sandwiches for which this place is known.
23730 El Toro Road
Lake Forest, CA 92630
BRU is a place that has the rotating beer menu down to a science. You can visit BRU regularly and not see the same beer menu twice, which is understandable for a place with the number of taps BRU boasts. Not only will you find that the beer selection changes frequently, you’ll also find a local focus with a lot of the beers on the menu from places like Hangar 24 and Cismontane right here in southern California. Beers here are served in a variety of sizes, depending on the strength of the beer.
