If you equate the workweek to a baseball field, we are definitely rounding third. Whether the week has been grueling and stifling or productive and fulfilling, those couple of days at the end are always sorely needed. We have a great time trying to figure out what might strike your fancy when it comes to R and R. For the folks that rest their head in Orange County, there is never a lack of options and this weekend in the OC is no exception. If you were looking for something to get into this weekend, you need look no further. Here is your weekend in Orange County.

Aside from the Packing House boasting one of Orange County's most inviting footprints, the ingenuitive space houses some of the best dining options in the area. Informal and inventive, a trip to the Packing House guarantees great ambiance and fantastic eats. Naturally, the Farmers Market associated with such a place is going to be top notch. Every Friday night the grass opposite the warehouse is lined with local vendors pushing their finest produce, baked goods, and culinary creations for visitors to peruse. Only adding to what is already a tantalizing experience, either you are visiting the market before hitting the packing house or you are checking out the marketing in between dinner and dessert from having already visited the packing house.

Roger's Gardens is very much like if your favorite issue of Better Homes & Garden suddenly became a physical place you could visit. This Corona del Mar locale has everything imaginable when it comes to beautifying your living space, and that includes what comes out of and going into your kitchen. Working with Dave Rizzo, the on-staff horticulturist, Roger's Gardens will host their 12th annual Tomato And Pepper Tasting event, designed to bridge the gap between the garden and the kitchen. There will be over 100 varieties on hand to give visitors a chance snack, sample and discuss the nuisances of a proper green thumb. This probably wasn't on your radar, but scoring some nature and tasty treats simultaneously is a great Saturday.

It's important to note that while the science is difficult to prove, something about where you are drinking a frothy beer has the ability to make it taste better. The Fullerton Arboretum is hosting their 5th annual Brews and Blues event with a dozen-plus of Southern California's best breweries all pouring their brand. Guests will be able to saunter about the lush, green grounds while sipping beer from the likes of Ballast Point, Acoustic Ales, Bootlegger's, Black Marketing Brewing, and Hangar 24 just to name a few. Of course, there is another "B" involved as BBQ (among other food trucks) will be available to pair with those suds. Enjoy some live blues music from local performers, get lost in the beautiful foliage, and drink and eat to you hearts content. All proceeds from the event go to environmental education programs, plant conservation, and the sprawling gardens of the Fullerton Arboretum.

Coinciding with the Plum Fest, Orange County's destination for German faire is hosting their famous wiener dog races, which are way cuter than they are competitive. As guests drink from massive steins and hammer home sausage and sauerkraut, they can cheer on their favorite pooch as they speed towards the finish line. The event is open to all ages and really is a small-scale spectacle that everyone can enjoy. With Oktoberfest creeping up, this is your chance to catch the races before the crowds get to be too much.

While many others have since followed suit, Skyzone boasts that they are the world's first indoor trampoline park. Finding a marriage between fun and fitness, the entire floor plan is bounce-able with attractions like ultimate dodgeball and a basketball game that gives everyone the thrill of a scoring a dunk. One of those places that work well in keeping the kids entertained but actually becomes more fun for the parents, Skyzone is always a great in that you just can't have a frown while bouncing on a trampoline.
