Of course the weekend needs to be productive, but in order to have a successful work week, there has to be some recreation that comes with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. While we all need to handle errands on our days away from the office, there's just no fun in replacing that shower curtain or cruising the aisles at Costco for paper towels. For the OC folks, there is a healthy stock of things to do regardless of age and budget. We skimmed through the spots and figured out some of the choice cuts. Here is the your weekend itinerary.

The dinner theatre at one point was commonplace in American culture and is steadily reemerging as a leisure destination for people looking for something new to experience. Teatro Martini embraces the smoky, red velvet cabaret to piece together a few hours of entertainment that includes everything from comedy and burlesque, to magic and acrobatics. In a showroom built to accommodate 200 guests, dinner and drinks hit the tables as the house is treated to a well-rounded performance designed to prompt some laughs and some awe.

While Huntington will forever be synonymous with surf culture, the city is actually home to the nation's very first 18-hole Frisbee golf course. The grounds opened back in 1977 and has remained opened 7 days a week since. With dirt cheap greens fees, a fully stocked pro shop, and a nationally recognized course that caters to both the enthusiast and the beginner, Huntington Beach takes it's disc golf pretty seriously.

A cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry, Walter Knott made an empire from his famous Boysenberry harvest. Some 8 plus years after the first harvest, Knott's Berry Farm is now celebrating it's second annual Boysenberry Festival to commemorate the instrumental facet of the park's success. The unique food festival uses the Boysenberry in some 70 different culinary creations that guests can sample throughout the park. In between rides and attractions, guests can eat, drink at the wine and beer garden, and get familiar with the SoCal crop.
